Additional tips that we recommend to get the most out of your Fan Page:
Once you reach 25 fans, you should reserve a "vanity URL that identifies your fan page (it will appear as facebook.com/yourbusinessnamehere). Reserve this custom domain name by visiting Facebook.com/username and click "Set a username for your Pages" link at the bottom of this page. It is recommended that you use the name of the business as your "username." This will help your Facebook page show up in Google/ Bing/Yahoo! search results when customers search for your business.

Your primary website should have a link to your Facebook Fan Page. You can do this numerous ways, including a simple link on the front page to a Fan Page Widget provided by Facebook. (Visit facebook.com/facebookwidgets to see examples of Fan Page widgets.)
Connect your page with other appropriate businesses in your community: Chamber of Commerce, popular local restaurants, attractions, sports teams and businesses that your customers would frequent. This will raise awareness of your Fan Page and help you network with businesses, customers and influencers in your trade area.

Call out your new Facebook Fan Page in your advertising. You can include a Facebook logo in your newspaper advertising, mention it in radio spots, and pass out small "Become a Fan" invitations to customers at the register with their receipts. Include links to other relevant pages on your info page to encourage your fans to connect with your business in all other social media platforms utilized by your company.
