A new client recently called me to complain that visitors to his website were finding old information from web pages. I knew exactly what was happening. People were searching on search engines like Google, Yahoo or Bing and finding out dated web pages that did not forward to the right page. They had recently updated their website and did not redirect old pages to the new ones.

By not redirecting the old pages, this meant lost visits and lower response rates. These missed opportunities were missed dollars. Every old webpage should have a redirect in order to continue to maintain traffic. As your service repair facility launches a new website you may lose a few visitors so it is important to look at every piece of SEO (Search Engine Optimization). This includes: content, keywords, titles, descriptions and social media.
